Finding a Coinbase lending position on Base

All vaults on Base

What Coinbase's own help pages say about where the shares are held, where the app shows an address, and what the app calls a vault — and what the chain record shows beside it.

Is the position personal, or pooled with everyone else's?

Personal. Coinbase documents that a first deposit prompts the creation of a self-custodial wallet, and calls it the Coinbase Lend Wallet: one wallet per customer, holding that customer's vault shares. It is created on the first deposit, not before.

So the position is a balance of vault shares at an address of its own. It is not a slice of one Coinbase address ledgered off chain, and a reading of that address on this site is a reading of one holder.

Where does the app show an address?

The in-app vault page lists a Vault address, reached through Assets, then Cash, then Lending, then the vault itself. That is the VAULT's address, not the holder's — and it is the input the lookup above wants: a catalogued vault address opens that vault's own page here.

The holder's own address is documented only through ejection. Coinbase's page on managing an ejected Lend Wallet describes reaching the wallet in the Morpho app and copying its address from the account icon. Until the wallet is ejected, no Coinbase page cited here states where the holder's own address is shown.

The lending page describes a Manage balances screen showing a balance and activity. Whether that activity links out to a block explorer is not stated on any page cited here, and nothing is claimed about it.

What the app calls the vault, and what the chain calls it

Coinbase's lending page names two tiers, Prime and High Yield. Neither is a vault name on chain, and neither identifies a vault by itself.

Two vaults on Base are both named Steakhouse Prime USDC. One is a MetaMorpho V1.1 vault this directory catalogues; the other belongs to the Vault V2 family, which the catalogue does not cover, so it has no page here. The two are different contracts at different addresses holding different assets.

A name does not identify a vault; the address does. The Vault address the app shows is the one thing that settles which of them a position is in.

The vaults behind those names

Same name, different contracts. A vault is identified by its address; a vault the directory catalogues has a page here, and one from a family it does not cover is linked to the explorer instead.

What the chain record shows

One account per customer, by the pages above. On chain, the evidence this guide rests on is the wallet implementation those accounts delegate to2 contracts the block explorer verifies under the name CoinbaseSmartWallet.

2,396 holders of Steakhouse Prime USDC (0xbeef…83b2) share the verified CoinbaseSmartWallet implementation at block 50,907,089. That is a count of accounts and a fact about the wallet software they run, not a count of people and not a statement about who they are.

Find your position

An address’s share of every MetaMorpho vault this directory catalogues on Base — 505 of them, as the two factories had deployed them at block 50,900,229 — and what that share attributes to in each Morpho Blue market those vaults supply. The result is read at one block and the address rides in the URL, so the reading is shareable. A reader who has only a transaction — the Basescan link a wallet app shows beside a deposit — can enter that instead: the holder address is found in the transaction’s own vault Transfer events. A vault address in this catalog opens that vault’s own page instead of a holder reading.
